Job summary

Brethren Care Village is seeking a part-time Culinary Services Assistant in Ashland, OH. This direct employee role offers daytime or evening shifts with no late hours and a pay range of $12.50–$14.30 per hour based on experience. Onsite presence is required.

The role supports dining room service, kitchen prep, and sanitation within a Christian-based senior living community that has served residents since 1972. Growth and benefit opportunities are emphasized.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age (work permit required for employees under 18)
• Customer Service skills preferred
• Prior food service experience preferred but not required.
• Onsite presence required.

Responsibilities

• Dining room service, including serving residents, carrying trays, and delivering/picking up trays from nursing carts.
• Cleaning tasks on a schedule, including trash disposal, dishwashing, and sweeping/mopping floors.
• Kitchen tasks, including prep work, labeling/dating food items, operating kitchen equipment, handling chemicals and cleaning equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Culinary Services Assistant's primary responsibilities may include:

• Dining room service, including serving residents, carrying residents' trays and delivering/picking up trays from nursing carts.
• Performing tasks on a cleaning schedule, including trash disposal, dishwashing, and sweeping & mopping floors.
• Performing a variety of tasks in the kitchen, including prep work, ensuring proper food storage by labelling & dating food items, operating kitchen equipment, handling chemicals and cleaning equipment, etc.
• Other duties as assigned.
