Job summary

Brethren Care Village in Ashland, OH is seeking an Activities Assistant for part-time evenings (1pm–7pm), 12 hours per week, with pay between $12 and $13.80 per hour based on experience. The role focuses on implementing activities, transporting residents, and providing individual engagement as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
• Current and Valid First Aid Training (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• The ability to pass activity certification program (with training upon hire).
• Onsite presence required.

Responsibilities

• Implement planned activities as outlined on calendar of events.
• Transport residents to and from planned activities in and outside the facility.
• Provide one on one activities with residents unable to attend group activities, when time allows.
• Maintain documentation of resident's participation in activities.
• Organize activity in event of a cancelled event.
• Refer residents/families to the Director of Housing if unable to resolve any resident/family concern.
• Develops and maintains a good rapport with other departments to ensure that a team effort is achieved.
• Assists residents by visiting, writing letters, running errands, communicating with others, providing music, etc. as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
