Job summary

Sodexo in San Jose is seeking a Cook I to accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and cold dishes for all meals and events, following Sodexo culinary standards. The role requires working in a fast-paced kitchen, maintaining safety, sanitation, and a clean workstation.

You will participate in team-focused kitchen operations, adhere to recipes, read menus, and assist with production planning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.
• Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, cook and present hot and cold foods for all meal periods and events.
• Follow Sodexo culinary standards for quality, presentation and safety.
• Work in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining a clean workstation.
• Support teamwork and uphold food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with production planning and recipe execution as needed.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time and reliably
