Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Onalaska, WI seeks a Kitchen Manager to oversee back-of-house operations and drive sales and profitability while ensuring guest satisfaction and restaurant standards.

You will direct staff, enforce policies, train employees, and ensure food safety, quality, and efficiency. The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• One to two years previous experience in a supervisory role.
• High school diploma; some college or degree preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly with employees, vendors and guests.
• Must be able to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower.
• Achieve planned profit levels while ensuring maximum guest satisfaction.
• Help plan and analyze manpower, development, and training of all employees, including subordinate managers.
• Participate in recruitment, training, and new hire orientation.
• Attend University of Perkins and complete coursework.
• Maintain ServSafe certification.
• Perform all restaurant functions as needed to support operations.
• Ensure menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented safely and per standards.
• Monitor food temperatures and maintain safety and sanitation compliance.
• Schedule and staff to achieve productivity and service goals.
• Oversee facility maintenance, energy conservation, and safety measures.
