Job summary

Pecometh Camp & Retreat Ministries in Maryland seeks a Food Service Manager to co‑lead our culinary team. This full‑time role oversees year‑round food service operations across two kitchens, ensuring meals meet quality and safety standards.

You will train and supervise staff, monitor food and labor costs, manage budgets and inventory, and represent the ministry in hospitality. Benefits accompany this position.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service management.
• Experience leading culinary teams and coordinating with staff.
• Strong focus on hospitality excellence and guest experience.
• Ability to manage budgets and control costs.

Responsibilities

• Articulate the mission, vision and values as a representative of Pecometh’s ministry.
• Manage all aspects of year‑round food service operation and two kitchens.
• Order and inventory food for the different dining facilities.
• Be present with guests and assist with food preparation as needed.
• Prepare quality, consistent meals for guests.
• Establish and follow food service procedures per health standards.
• Train, schedule and supervise food service staff.
• Monitor food and labor costs.
• Support recycling initiatives.
• Attend staff meetings and contribute to Pecometh’s mission and vision.
• Other tasks as negotiated.
