Job summary

White Sulphur Springs Retreat and Conference Center is seeking a Food Service Manager to lead a ministry-focused kitchen, plan nutritious menus, and ensure meals are prepared and served with hospitality.

This full-time, exempt role reports to the Operations Director and involves budgeting, staff scheduling, mentoring 2–4 interns from the EXSEL program, and adapting hours to ministry needs while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen, planning menus, and upholding kitchen safety.
• Ability to train, coach, and disciple kitchen staff and interns.
• Experience managing budgets, inventory, and orders.

Responsibilities

• Plan creative menus, prepare meals on time in a fast-paced environment, and maintain high kitchen safety and cleanliness.
• Establish work schedules to ensure adequate staffing during all kitchen operations.
• Train, coach, and disciple kitchen staff, including interns from the EXSEL program.
• Manage food service budget, order supplies, and coordinate equipment service and repairs.
