Job summary

Pearl of Orchard Valley is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to oversee the Culinary and Nutritional Services Department, ensuring quality, safety and compliance across all meals and services.

You will direct staff, coordinate with Nursing and other departments, and manage budgets, inventories, and catering for events, while maintaining high standards of resident nutrition and service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops and directs the Culinary and Nutritional Services Department.
• Supervises and may assist in the preparation of all products and meals.
• Maintains stock levels through purchasing and inventory processes.
• Ensures residents’ nutritional needs are met.
• Coordinates services with Nursing, Maintenance, Housekeeping.
• Plans and executes catering needs and events.
• Responds to complaints; maintains confidentiality.
• Maintains ongoing quality assurance program.
• Ensures clean, sanitary work areas and equipment.
• Reviews and implements plan of correction after surveys.
• Supports emergency disaster programs.
• Follows departmental budget.
• Maintains menus and records.
• Directly manages staff; HR and training.
• Ensures staffing plans for coverage.
