Job summary

The Galt House Hotel is seeking career-minded cooks with an engaging personality to join our kitchen team. You will cook to order, fry, sauté and broil a variety of menu items while maintaining a clean, organized and fast-paced work environment.

Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of cooking experience in a table service setting, strong sanitation knowledge, and the ability to thrive under pressure. Lifting up to 50 pounds and contributing to specials is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 3-5 years cooking experience in a table service dining environment.
• Must have working knowledge of established sanitation standards.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Ability to perform duties in a stressful, fast-paced fine dining environment.
• Knowledge in creating specials/new menu items is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Cook to order, fry, sauté and broil a variety of menu items.
• Work hot food line, broiler, fry station and salad station.
• Maintain quality, plating and consistent presentation.
• Adhere to sanitation and safety standards at all times.
