Job summary

Settlers Hospitality is seeking a Line Cook to join its restaurant team. The Line Cook prepares both hot and cold items, follows established recipes, and ensures safe, high-quality food service for all meals and events.

You will work days, evenings, weekends and holidays, with the ability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed. A high school diploma is preferred, plus one year of experience; culinary training is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year of relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares hot and cold food following established recipes for all meal services.
  • Cleans work areas and equipment used in food preparation.
  • Follows safety and sanitation rules and practices.
  • Restocks food supplies and takes inventory when required.

Job Type: Full-time


The Line Cook prepares food that meets current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations by following established policies and procedures and ensures that safe and high-quality food service is provided at all times. The Line Cook prepares all items needed for service, from chopping vegetables to making sauces and butchering meat, and may be asked to prepare items for another station or special event.


Effective oral and written skills, good time management skills, and professional dress, speech, and behavior are all required for this position.
