Job summary

Harmony Senior Services in Martinsburg, WV is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents according to approved menus and recipes, while considering special dietary needs and supervising dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director. You will maintain a clean, safe kitchen and follow sanitation standards.

Must have Serv-Safe certification (or willing to obtain within 60 days), be able to stand long hours, lift 50 lbs, and be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in dining services.
• Serv-Safe certification, or willingness to complete within 60 days of hire.
• Basic reading/writing and ability to perform simple calculations.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present meals per approved menus and recipes.
• Supervise dietary staff in absence of Dining Services Director; ensure kitchen readiness.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety; monitor temperatures and waste.
• Attend in-service and staff meetings; assist in training new dietary employees.
