Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) in Worcester, MA seeks a Lead Line Cook to serve as on-site culinary leader within our SUD programs. You will guide daily meal production, staffing, and compliance to ensure safe, nutritious meals that support recovery and daily stability.

You will enforce food safety, manage inventory, work with program teams, and step into production as needed. Requires ServSafe certification, HS diploma or GED, and weekend availability; sobriety preferred.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required or preferred.
• ServSafe certification is required.
• Two years of sobriety preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily meal production and service on schedule.
• Maintain kitchen operations and serve as on-site lead.
• Enforce food safety, sanitation, and logs.
• Ensure inspection readiness and address issues.
• Manage purchases, inventories, and FIFO.
• Supervise kitchen staff and coordinate shifts.
• Adjust to callouts and volume changes.
• Meet labor and food cost targets.
• Communicate with program directors and teams.
