Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) seeks a Lead Culinary Line Cook to lead daily meal service for the SUD team, ensuring consistency, compliance, and operational stability on site in Western Massachusetts.

You will supervise daily meal preparation, maintain food safety standards, manage inventory, and collaborate with program leadership to respond to feedback while ensuring timely, high-quality service.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.
ServSafe certification is required.

Responsibilities

Lead daily meal preparation and service according to approved menus and recipes.
Ensure meals are served on time, at proper temperatures, and meet quality standards.
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and compliance with all regulations.
Manage inventory, ordering, and receiving through approved vendors.
Direct kitchen workflow, assign tasks, and adjust staffing coverage as needed.
Step into food production or service roles to maintain uninterrupted operations.
Monitor waste, portion control, and cost awareness during daily operations.
Collaborate with program leadership and respond to feedback from individuals served.
Maintain accurate documentation related to food safety and inventory.
