Job summary

Tommy Bahama in Newport Beach is hiring an Island Life ambassador to lead kitchen and front-of-house teams with a focus on exceptional guest experiences and island-inspired cuisine. You will guide staff, maintain brand standards, and drive daily operations with aloha spirit.

Ideal candidates have at least 2+ years in high-volume culinary or hospitality roles, possess a current food handler’s card, and communicate clearly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of high-volume culinary/hospitality experience.
• Current food handler’s card and required certifications.
• Knowledge of full food service operations, prep, plating and timing.
• Strong verbal and written communication; able to convey operational info.
• Willing to perform other duties as required.

Responsibilities

• Create a relaxed destination by promoting a learning and training environment.
• Know and execute all food menus/recipes including ingredients and presentation.
• Provide constructive feedback to kitchen teammates and maintain open dialogue.
• Facilitate company training programs and monitor team performance.
