Job summary

Pearl of Hinsdale is seeking a Cook to perform dietary prep and service duties in a healthcare setting. You will supervise staff in the absence of the Dietary Manager and ensure meals are provided timely and safely.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining sanitation, and coordinating with the Dietary Manager on inventory and supply orders. Flexible hours and adherence to health regulations are required.

Qualifications

• High School or Culinary Tech graduate.
• Ability to read, understand and follow recipes, production sheets counts, diet orders, tray tickets and all employee work responsibilities and flows.
• Must be Serve Safe Certified or able to earn within the first 90 days of starting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion hot and cold menu items according to recipe and production sheet.
• Serve resident meals at correct service times.
• Cover for staff absent due to illness.
• Maintain temperatures and sanitation per health regulations.
• Interact with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction.
• Track inventory and communicate low supplies to Dietary Manager.
• Label, wrap and date unused items.
