Qualifications

• Associates degree in Culinary Arts or a bachelor’s with a culinary credential.
• Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or Hospitality Management highly desirable.
• Minimum five years supervisory experience, including 2–3 years as Executive Chef, Executive Pastry Chef, or General Manager.
• Post-secondary culinary teaching experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate core values by modeling SOAR.
• Maintain open communication with Senior Chef Instructors, Program Manager and the Director of Culinary Education.
• Provide exceptional technical instruction and student customer service.
• Assist in recruitment events, demonstrations, and activities with Academics and Admissions departments.
• Assess student retention and identify at-risk students to support them.
• Participate in orientation, open house, graduation and other school activities.
• Maintain course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials with the Director of Culinary Education.
• Ensure safe teaching environment meeting Serv-Safe standards and safety regulations.
• Submit required reports and evaluations to students and administration.
• Attend faculty meetings and professional development workshops.
