Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA seeks an Instructor to educate culinary students through a mix of lectures and hands-on learning, under the Director of Culinary Hospitality Operations. The role emphasizes professionalism, SOAR values, and strong classroom management to foster an engaging learning environment.

The Instructor will deliver instruction, participate in recruitment events, and collaborate with academic leaders to promote student success across programs.

Qualifications

• Hold a minimum of one associate degree in culinary arts or a bachelor’s degree with culinary credentials.
• Bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or hospitality management is highly desirable.
• Minimum five years’ supervisory experience, including roles such as Executive Chef or General Manager in food service.
• Teaching experience in a post-secondary culinary program is highly desirable.
• Current certification through the American Culinary Federation (CEC/CCC or CEPC/CWPC) or ability to obtain within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and/or lab instruction in accordance with curriculum and policies.
• Maintain engagement in coursework through effective classroom management and interaction with students.
• Maintain syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials in collaboration with program leadership.
• Assist in recruitment events and student orientation activities.
• Assess student retention and support at‑risk students to overcome challenges.
• Participate in required faculty meetings and professional development.
