Job summary

The State of Georgia invites applications for a Culinary Arts Adjunct Instructor position to deliver theory and hands-on training in the culinary arts program. Under general supervision, you will prepare lesson plans, develop standardized syllabi, and assess student progress in accredited courses.

Responsibilities include teaching in classroom/lab settings, staying current with industry trends, and maintaining safety standards while supporting program goals and student success.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in the teaching discipline (Culinary Arts).
• Demonstrated competence/experience in the teaching discipline.
• Three of the last seven years employed in the teaching discipline or related field.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction in theory and practical applications in accordance with academic state standards.
• Prepare course syllabi using provided template and deliver learning in classroom/lab/field environments.
• Evaluate students’ progress and grade coursework in a timely manner.
• Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the discipline area.
• Collaborate with students, staff members, and other educators to discuss instructional programs and other issues.
• Travel to other campuses may be required for meetings, trainings, and professional development.
