Job summary

Hagerstown Nursing and Rehab is seeking a Culinary Director to lead the culinary staff, ensure quality resident meals, and manage kitchen resources. The role combines team leadership with hands-on cooking and menu implementation to uphold care standards and dietary compliance.

The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience, a high school diploma or GED, and certifications as CDM and ServSafe, plus experience with Nutritional Care software. This position is full-time and on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Experience cooking in a healthcare environment preferred.
• Prior supervisory/management experience required.
• Certified Dietary Manager required.
• ServSafe certified.
• Experience using Nutritional Care software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the team functions of the culinary activities.
• Maintain adequate culinary staffing levels for quality resident care.
• Supervise orientation and training of new employees.
• Implement menus and recipes; maintain culinary standards.
• Develop and communicate shift assignments for staff.
• Hands-on management including cooking, tasting, seasoning, serving.
