Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a Director of Culinary Development. You will lead culinary teams, develop menus, and manage budgets across multiple locations to uphold high standards of quality and consistency.

As a key leader, you will mentor chefs, implement innovative programs, and ensure compliance with safety standards while driving company initiatives and guest satisfaction across the system.

Qualifications

• Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum of five years progressive culinary experience in high volume operations.
• Minimum of two years of menu development.
• Knowledge of budgets, food and labor costs, and inventory controls.
• Comprehensive knowledge of international cuisines and catering trends.
• Thorough understanding of food equipment and safety standards.
• Strong organizational, leadership, coaching and training skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel extensively.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Department Head to provide leadership and set standards of culinary excellence.
• Work with Division leadership in planning and supporting new concepts at locations.
• Develops and mentors senior chefs across divisions and regions.
• Creates training opportunities through manufacturer and vendor resources.
• Stays current with market trends and customer demands.
• Plan menus for daily offerings, seasonal specials, and catering.
• Conduct tastings and evaluate food presentation.
• Establishes food specifications and ensures compliance with regulations.
• Collaborates with Purchasing, Marketing, and Business Development on projects.
• Lead sustainability initiatives and oversee Nutrition staff and programs.
