Job summary

North Georgia Technical College is seeking a part-time Culinary Arts Instructor in Toccoa, GA. Under general supervision, you will guide and instruct students to develop technical competencies in Culinary Arts, preparing lesson plans and evaluating progress.

Responsibilities include maintaining supplies and budgets, ensuring safety, coordinating with staff, and assisting with recruitment and job placement efforts.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts OR completion of a Culinary Apprenticeship Program AND Industry certification.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in related field, industry experience, and previous teaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop program and course outlines, goals, and objectives.
• Prepare lesson plans for classroom instruction for credited technical/occupational courses.
• Evaluate students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives.
• Request and maintain supplies and equipment.
• Prepare required budget requests.
• Maintain program certification requirements and documentation.
• Ensure safety and security requirements are met in the training area.
• Meet with students, staff, and educators to discuss instructional programs.
• Assist with recruitment, retention, and job placement efforts.
• Other duties as assigned.
