Job summary

WSU Tech is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Culinary Arts with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and industry-aligned instruction. You will develop syllabi, lead demonstrations, and guide students toward achieving course goals.

Ideal candidates have an associate degree and at least five years in food service management; ServSafe Manager’s Certificate is preferred and must be obtained within three months. Teaching experience is a plus; hybrid delivery is supported.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required for instructional role.
  • Minimum 5 years’ food service management experience in culinary arts or related field.
  • Current ServSafe Manager’s Certificate preferred; must obtain within 3 months of hire.
  • Teaching or training experience in adult education preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and upload an appropriate course syllabus for each course taught in the LMS.
  • Conduct engaging classroom lectures and hands-on demonstrations in culinary techniques and safety.
  • Communicate objectives, requirements, evaluation criteria, and attendance policies to students.
  • Maintain detailed records of student progress, grades, and attendance.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide timely feedback to students.
