Job summary

Del Mar College is seeking adjunct and substitute instructors to teach Culinary Arts and related courses across multiple times and locations. Positions may include online and dual‑credit offerings to respond to institutional needs and student demand.

Instructors must hold an associate degree in Culinary Arts or related field, have at least three years of culinary work experience, and hold ServSafe Manager or Texas Certified Food Manager certification for lab instruction.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts from an accredited institution or in a related field.
• Three years work experience in Culinary Arts or in a related field.
• Current ServSafe Manager or Texas Certified Food Manager certification for lab instructors required to instruct Culinary and/or Baking/Pastry courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned courses in various times and locations; may include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes.
• Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
• Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to meet course outcomes.
