Job summary

Kaizen Lab Inc. in Lafayette, Indiana, invites a passionate learner to join a kitchen mentorship program that goes beyond a standard line-cook role.

Over the timeline, you will be cross-trained in culinary fundamentals, menu development, and kitchen operations to eventually step into a Sous Chef position. You will receive direct mentorship from our Executive Chef, gain leadership experience across stations, and progress along a defined pathway from trainee to senior chef.

Qualifications

• No formal culinary degree required; drive and dedication valued.
• Some basic kitchen or prep experience helpful, but not mandatory.
• Ability to stand long periods, fast-paced work, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Engage in a mentorship-driven program across all kitchen stations.
• Assist in menu development and kitchen operations as you train.
• Develop leadership and teamwork skills to prepare for a Sous Chef role.
