Job summary

Koelsch Communities seeks a skilled Cook for its Culinary Department at Delaware Plaza. The role offers full-time and part-time opportunities with a pay range of $17.13–$18.50 per hour, depending on experience. Complimentary meals during shifts are provided. You'll prepare appealing and nutritious meals, store and rotate food safely, and keep the kitchen clean.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food preparation, production and plate presentation.
• Must have completed ServSafe or Dietary Manager's Course; certificate within 30 days if not initially held.
• All state food handler certificate requirements must be met.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals per menu and schedule in an appetizing and nutritious manner.
• Properly store, date, and rotate food per safety guidelines.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Who you are:

You enjoy providing outstanding service and producing high quality nutrition. The Cook’s role is preparing and serving attractive and tasty meals for the community.

What you'll do:

• Ensure food is prepared in a nutritional, appetizing fashion, and presented in an attractive manner per the menu and schedule
• Properly store, date, and rotate food per food handling guidelines
• Keep the environment safe and clean
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• (delete this bullet if not in TX / IL / AZ ) Candidates applying must have completed an approved Dietary Manager's Course or possess a ServSafe Food Handler's certificate. (Candidates without Servsafe will be considered but must receive the certificate within the first 30 days of employment)
• All requirements related to the food handlers’ certificate per state requirements
• Knowledge of food preparation, production and plate presentation
• Must be drug-free and submit to a drug screening upon hire and routinely
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check upon hire and as required by state regulations
• Knowledge of special dietary needs
