Job summary

Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville, WI is seeking a Culinary Aide (Per Diem) in the Culinary Services Department. The role involves delivering meals to patients/residents, assisting with diet choices, and supporting kitchen operations at the Dodgeville Hospital Campus.

The position requires mobility for long walking periods and bending/kneeling. Prior food service experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided. Per diem schedule offered.

Qualifications

• Basic nutritional knowledge is preferred but not required.
• Good computer skills are required.
• Prior food service work experience is preferred but not essential.
• This role requires a lot of walking and the ability to bend and kneel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to patients/residents.

• Stock kitchen areas and rotate snacks and nourishments.

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver food to patients/residents
• Will train for multiple positions to fit the needs of the department
• Assist patients/residents make meal choices according to their diets
• Provide basic diet order education and guidance on appropriate food choices based on patient therapeutic diet order
• Utilize software to place meal orders
• Stock kitchen & kitchenettes within the facility and rotating goods in the kitchenettes with snacks and nourishments
• Ensure diet and texture are correct prior to serving
• Coordinate with nursing staff to meet patient/resident needs
• Basic cleaning and sanitizing work areas
