Job summary

CUI Cable Services is hiring a Cable Technician in Huntsville, AL. You’ll install, troubleshoot, and repair internet, cable TV, phone, and alarm systems for customers at residential and commercial sites.

Expect to perform upgrades and audits, meet quality standards, educate customers on services, and maintain documentation. A hands-on, customer-focused mindset is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Experience in cable, fiber, or broadband installation required.

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair internet, cable TV, phone, and alarm systems.
• Perform service upgrades, relocations, and audits at residential and commercial locations.
• Ensure all installations meet quality and safety standards and customer experience.
• Educate customers on services and equipment and complete accurate work orders.

What You’ll Do

As a Cable Technician, you’ll be the face of CUI in the field—delivering reliable, high-quality service directly to customers.

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair internet, cable TV, phone, and alarm systems
• Perform service upgrades, relocations, and audits at residential and commercial locations
• Ensure every installation meets quality, safety, and customer experience standards
• Educate customers on their services and equipment
• Manage and maintain your company vehicle, tools, and inventory
• Accurately complete work orders, documentation, and time reporting

• Previous cable, fiber, or broadband installation experience required
• Comfortable working with tools, technology, and hands-on problem solving
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and work at heights (ladders up to 30 ft.)
• Willingness to work indoors/outdoors in varying conditions
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass background check, MVR, and drug screening
