Job summary

CUI Cable Services in Birmingham, AL is hiring an entry level Cable Technician. No cable experience required; paid training and a company vehicle are provided. You’ll install and service residential telecoms, learn on the job, and earn weekly pay with opportunities for bonuses and advancement.

Ideal candidates are reliable, mechanically inclined, tech-savvy, customer-focused, and willing to learn. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds are required, with training

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must be at least 23 years old.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Comfortable climbing ladders up to 30 feet.
• Able to work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Install, activate, and troubleshoot residential Internet, TV, Phone, and Security services.
• Diagnose and resolve service issues efficiently.
• Educate customers on their equipment and services.
• Test signal quality and ensure every installation meets company standards.
• Complete upgrades, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
• Accurately document completed work using mobile applications.
• Maintain your company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Continue developing your skills through ongoing training and certifications.

What You'll Do

Every day is different. As a Cable Technician, you'll travel to customer homes installing and servicing telecommunications equipment while providing an outstanding customer experience.
