Job summary

Submittable is seeking a Chief Technology Officer to own engineering vision, architecture, and execution as we scale. This pivotal role reports to the CEO and leads a global team across the US and India, aligning technical work with product strategy and enterprise requirements.

You will drive platform stability, scalable architecture, security, and cross-border collaboration while partnering with executive leadership on business strategy and investments.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in software engineering, including 5+ years in senior technology leadership (CTO or equivalent) at a SaaS company.
• Proven experience leading distributed/global engineering teams, including India-based teams.
• Track record scaling engineering organizations through growth stages from startup to mid-market SaaS.
• Experience building or scaling AI/ML-powered product features and driving AI adoption.

Responsibilities

• Define and own multi-year technology roadmap and architecture strategy.
• Lead a globally distributed engineering organization across US and India.
• Partner with Product, Sales, and ELT on roadmap feasibility and execution.
• Oversee security, compliance, and data privacy in a SaaS environment.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain senior engineering leadership; drive best practices.
