Overview
Our client is a highly respected private equity firm seeking to appoint a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead technology strategy and digital transformation for one of their portfolio companies. This role is central to scaling platforms, enhancing customer experience, and supporting the company’s aggressive growth strategy across the hospitality and services sector.
Position Overview
The Chief Technology Officer will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for setting the company’s technology vision, scaling platforms, and ensuring technology initiatives drive measurable business outcomes. The CTO will partner closely with the CEO, board, and private equity sponsor to align technology investments with strategic priorities, enhance infrastructure, and lead digital innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the company’s technology roadmap in alignment with business and operational objectives.
- Lead all technology functions, including software engineering, product development, data platforms, cybersecurity, and infrastructure.
- Drive digital innovation across customer-facing platforms and back-office systems.
- Build and scale a high-performing, agile technology team while fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Oversee systems architecture, implementation, and cloud strategy to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- Collaborate with finance, operations, and commercial leadership to align technology initiatives with company performance goals.
- Manage relationships with external technology vendors and strategic partners.
- Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular updates to the CEO, board, and private equity sponsors on technology initiatives, risks, and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Proven success as a CTO or senior technology leader in a private equity-backed or high-growth environment.
- Demonstrated experience scaling systems, platforms, and teams during periods of rapid growth or transformation.
- Expertise in modern technology stacks, enterprise/SaaS systems, cloud infrastructure, and data architecture.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to tie technology initiatives to financial outcomes and value creation.
- Experience with M&A technology integration, system upgrades, or digital transformation highly valued.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
