Job summary

Yahoo is seeking a Director of CTO FP&A to lead the financial planning and analysis for the Central Technology Organization. You will partner with the CTO and engineering leaders to guide resource allocation, cloud and data investments, and long-range planning.

In this role, you’ll own the CTO P&L, drive forecasting cycles, and promote AI-enabled analytics to improve forecast accuracy while collaborating with senior stakeholders across the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years of related finance experience, ideally including digital media.
• 5+ years of Management experience.
• Proven FP&A / Financial Operations experience with a focus on technology and cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud services business models, pricing strategies, and market trends.
• Excellent quantitative and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in Excel, Google Sheets and reporting with visual storytelling.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for non-financial stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Forecasting, annual budgeting, long-range planning, and executive presentations.
• Advise CTO and engineering leaders on financial guidance and resource allocation.
• Manage end-to-end monthly, quarterly, and annual Technology P&L reviews.
• Oversee and manage cost budgets across the Central Technology Office.
• Champion AI-enabled analytics to automate variance reconciliations and close processes.
• Develop short- and long-term financial projections using market trends and data.
• Provide insights to leadership to achieve company goals and objectives.
• Assess ROI and total cost of ownership for tech initiatives including AI infra and cloud costs.
