Job summary

Yahoo in the United States is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with business stakeholders, own planning, forecasting, budgeting, month-end close support, and variance analysis. You will translate financial data into clear, actionable recommendations for non-finance audiences.

You will build and maintain financial models, drive AI-enabled efficiencies, lead the annual budget cycle, and present insights to leadership with decision-ready detail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• Advanced Excel with complex modeling and large data sets.
• Experience with ERP and planning tools (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Workday Adaptive, Anaplan, Pigment).
• Proven or strong focus on using AI-augmented productivity tools to optimize data analysis, modeling, or reporting workflows.
• Strong written and verbal communication to explain financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities against tight close and planning deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly and quarterly forecasts including OpEx/CapEx and headcount modeling.
• Identify and implement AI-driven efficiencies in financial workflows.
• Lead the annual budget cycle with bottoms-up plans and top-down reconciliation.
• Deliver month-end variance analysis and highlight risks/opportunities to leadership.
• Build and maintain financial models for business cases, scenarios, and investments.
• Partner with Accounting on close activities including accruals and reclasses.
• Develop recurring management reporting and dashboards; improve automation and cycle time.
• Present findings to finance leadership and business partners in decision-ready terms.
• Support ad hoc analyses for executive leadership and board reporting.
