Job summary

Deseret Mutual Benefits Administrators seeks a dynamic CTO to lead technology, AI strategy, and governance across health, retirement, and other lines of business. The role requires strong fiduciary expertise, executive leadership, and experience with regulated environments.

You will drive enterprise architecture, cloud and on-premise platforms, and security programs while aligning technology with strategic objectives and stakeholder needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field.
• 15+ years in information technology.
• 5+ years in an executive C-Suite role.
• 5+ years in fiduciary or regulated environment.
• Proven vendor implementation and migration experience.
• Domain expertise in 401(k)/pension or health-insurance tech preferred.
• Experience with ERISA, HIPAA, SOC 1/2, HITRUST, and regulatory frameworks.
• Enterprise architecture, cloud-native strategies, DevOps/CI-CD, BI toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain an enterprise technology and AI roadmap aligned with DMBA's strategy.
• Advise Board on technology opportunities, risk, and investments.
• Establish governance for AI solutions with privacy, security, and human oversight.
• Architect cybersecurity, privacy, incident response, DR, and business continuity frameworks.
• Oversee cloud and on-prem infrastructure, systems admin, DevOps, and SLAs.
• Ensure 99.99% availability for mission-critical systems and AI-enabled improvements.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of internal and customer-facing applications and AI solutions.
• Establish secure development, testing, release, and monitoring practices.
• Build data governance and analytics capabilities across data domains.
• Deliver real-time dashboards and predictive analytics with data quality and access controls.
• Manage hundreds of millions in technology investments through governance and ROI.
• Recruit and develop a multidisciplinary tech team and foster a culture of accountability.
• Participate in Senior Management Committee and key initiatives.
