Job summary

ITAC Solutions seeks a hands-on Chief Technology Officer for a confidential client in Nashville, TN. You will own architecture, security, and evolution of a proprietary AI platform, leading engineering and partnering with executives to scale product, data, and cloud infrastructure.

Ideal candidates have startup-scale leadership, deep AI system knowledge (LLMs, RAG, orchestration), and a track record building roadmaps while managing partnerships and HIPAA considerations.

Qualifications

• Experience building and scaling technology products at startup/early-stage companies.
• Deep hands-on AI knowledge: LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, model orchestration.
• Experience leading internal engineering teams and managing external partners.
• Strong cybersecurity and data privacy knowledge.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical executives.

Responsibilities

• Own the technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap for the company.
• Lead the proprietary AI layer and AI-driven products, incl. RAG and orchestration.
• Oversee AI, data, application, and cloud infrastructure.
• Manage internal engineers and outside development partners.
• Build and lead the internal technology organization as the company grows.
• Develop the data strategy, data governance, and HIPAA considerations.
• Establish cybersecurity, privacy, access controls, and data governance standards.
• Protect IP and ensure ownership of tech and codebase.
• Support integrations with health systems and enterprise partners.
• Own budgets, KPIs, and resource planning with executive visibility.
