Job summary

Deseret Mutual Benefits Administrators (DMBA) seeks a dynamic Chief Operating Officer to lead strategic operations and technology-enabled services. The role drives execution of enterprise priorities, financial performance, and customer experience across complex functions.

The COO will guide platform investments, data analytics, and AI adoption while building leadership depth and ensuring regulatory compliance in a hybrid work environment near downtown Salt Lake City.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, healthcare administration, information systems, finance or related field.
• Progressive leadership with 15+ years in healthcare, health plan or employee benefits environments.
• Senior operational executive experience (4–7 years) with enterprise-wide accountability.
• Experience overseeing technology strategy and AI initiatives.
• Strong financial acumen and metrics-driven decision making.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise leadership for major operational divisions and ensure scalable delivery of services.
• Oversee technology strategy, roadmaps, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement, performance measurement, and resource decisions.
• Establish governance, risk, and regulatory compliance across functions.
• Lead succession planning and develop senior leaders to ensure continuity.
