Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a CT Technologist to join the Pineville radiology team. The role involves performing CT exams, verifying orders with radiologists, and ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Full-time, 36 hours per week, schedule M-Thur 21:00-6:30 with call and holiday rotations. You will prepare patients, obtain consent, administer contrast per protocol, operate the radiology system, and document procedures.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT within one year of hire required.
• BLS required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and competency appropriate to patient population served.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient; refers and questions orders to Radiologist.
• Properly identify patients and prepare them for the procedure with explanations; document appropriately.
• Interviews patients for medical history and reviews EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical history.
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures; maintains sterile technique.
• Operates radiology computer system, documents contrast administration, and ensures safety protocols.

Education

Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
