Qualifications

• ARRT (R) CT on hire, required.
• BLS certification within 60 days, required.
• Licensure in state of practice upon hire, required.
• IV competency within 90 days, required.
• 1-2 years CT hospital experience, preferred.
• Level II CT technologist: 3+ years preferred.
• Fluoroscopy certification: preferred where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in clinical and technical functions.
• Operate CT equipment and information systems to produce quality images.
• Ensure proper patient identification and order verification.
• Perform exams per department protocol.
• Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain safety.
• Complete studies within department time expectations.
• Provide patient education and address concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with providers.
• Stay updated with CT technology through continuing education.
• Instruct students and other technologists in protocols.
