Qualifications

• ARRT CT registration required upon hire.
• BLS certification within 60 days required.
• State licensure in applicable state upon hire.
• IV competency within 90 days required.
• Fluoroscopy certification in Colorado preferred.
• 1–2 years CT hospital experience preferred (Level I/II).

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in all CT clinical/technical functions.
• Operate CT equipment and related systems to produce quality images.
• Verify patient identity, verify orders, and prepare patient for exams.
• Perform exams per department protocol.
• Review images for quality and accuracy, ensuring anatomy captured.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain safety.
• Complete studies within time limits without compromising care.
• Educate patients, ensure comfort, address concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and relay information to care providers.
• Stay updated on CT tech advances via continuing education.
• Instruct students and staff in protocols and equipment.
