Job summary

Qualifications

• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (R) Upon Hire, Required
• Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (R)(CT), Preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days, Required
• Licensure in state of practice, Upon Hire, Required
• IV Competency within 90 Days, Required
• For Colorado, Fluoroscopy certification preferred
• 1–2 years CT hospital experience, Preferred
• Current ARRT (R) (CT) registration
• Current BLS endorsed by AHA or within 90 days of hire (with approval)
• Minimum of 3 years CT Technologist experience, preferred

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT competency in clinical and technical functions.
• Operate CT equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and preparation for exams.
• Perform exams per department protocol.
• Review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe environment.
• Complete studies within department time expectations without compromising care.
• Educate patients, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Coordinate patient care and communicate with other providers.
• Stay updated with CT technology and participate in continuing education.
• Instruct students and other radiology staff on protocols and equipment.
