Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist to perform CT imaging and mentored support for junior staff. You will operate CT equipment, place IVs, and ensure diagnostic-quality images while maintaining safety standards.

The role requires ARRT CT certification or eligibility, active state licensure, and BLS. A patient-centered approach and ability to work across shifts are essential, with opportunities for CT certification advancement.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program is required.
• ARRT CT certification or registry eligible with CT certification planned within 90 days or ASAP.
• Current, unrestricted license in the state of practice and BLS certification required.
• Advanced CT certification within one year of becoming CT registry eligible is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Operate imaging equipment per protocol, including IV placement.
• Review patient images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
• Complete timely quality control and regulatory compliance tasks.
• Assist in departmental operations and scheduling as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy and adapt communication to patient population.
