Job summary

Ochsner LSU Health System of North Louisiana seeks a CT technologist to perform computed tomography procedures safely and accurately. You will mentor junior staff and students and follow radiation safety protocols in a dynamic radiology department.

Qualifications include a radiologic technology program and ARRT CT certification or eligibility, with potential travel between North Louisiana facilities. Flexibility for varied shifts is required for patient coverage.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• ARRT and/or CT registry eligibility or certification; state license; BLS.
• Willingness to travel between facilities and adapt to varying schedules.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and procedures for accuracy.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Independently operate CT imaging equipment according to protocol.
• Review patient images for diagnostic quality prior to transmission.
• Perform quality control and notify/remediate as needed.
• Assist with departmental operations (scheduling, inventory, equipment maintenance).
• Adapt communication and approach to diverse patient populations.
