Job summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for CT imaging, patient positioning, and image quality assurance. You will verify orders, operate CT equipment, and ensure safety with radiation procedures while teaching junior staff and students.

Required Radiologic Technology training, ARRT CT certification or registry eligibility, and a current state license. BLS and flexibility for shifts are expected. Prior CT experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT certification or equivalent registry eligibility within 90 days of employment.
• Current ARRT CT certification or CT registry eligible with advanced CT cert within one year.
• Current unrestricted license in state of practice and BLS certification.
• Strong data entry and information retrieval skills.
• Ability to operate radiology equipment and ensure diagnostic image quality.

Responsibilities

• Verify physician orders and ensure procedure accuracy.
• Operate imaging equipment per protocol and position patient.
• Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Review images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Support departmental operations, inventory, and staff scheduling.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality; work under pressure when needed.
• Adapt to varying schedules including nights, evenings, weekends or holidays.
