Job summary

Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, NC is seeking a CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment per departmental standards. The role requires analyzing orders, validating patient data, and delivering safe, efficient imaging services.

The ideal candidate has ARRT Radiology certification with CT registry within a year of hire and BLS. The hospital emphasizes patient safety, quality imaging, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT within one year of hire required. BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient. Refers and questions orders to the Radiologist before performing exam. Contacts ordering provider when there are discrepancies.
• Properly identify (Using two patient identifiers) and assist patients while offering a brief explanation of the procedures. Prepares patients for the procedure with a full explanation and documents on appropriate worksheets.
• Interviews patients for a complete medical history. Reviews EMRs to obtain pertinent clinical history. Records medical history on requisitions.
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures. Practices proper sterile technique and radiation safety procedures.
