Job summary

Atrium Health Cabarrus is seeking a part-time CT Technologist I to operate CT scanners and related equipment, ensuring high-quality imaging and adherence to safety standards.

The position requires ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB and an ARRT CT registry within one year of hire, with baseline BLS. Applicants must be able to lift and move patients and be able to work variable shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ARRT-recognized Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiology or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and advanced registry from ARRT in CT within one year of hire; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Examine requests and verify orders; refer and question orders to Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identify patients using two identifiers; prepare patients with explanations and document appropriately.
• Review EMR history and correlate test results with the exam being performed.
• Perform CT scanning and assist Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures; maintain sterile technique.
• Ensure radiation safety practices for staff and patients; report any equipment malfunctions.
