Job summary

Atrium Health Cabarrus in Concord, NC is hiring a CT Technologist I for night shifts (weeknights, Mon.-Thurs., 8:30p-5a). The role operates CT scanners and related equipment with strict adherence to protocols and radiation safety. A sign-on bonus is offered for eligible candidates, with a pay range of $33.05 to $49.60 per hour.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in Radiology, or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine and ARRT CT registry within 1 year of hire, in addition to CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient.
• Questions orders with Radiologist before performing exam.
• Identifies patient using two identifiers and explains procedures.
• Prepares patients with explanations and documents on worksheets.
• Interviews patients for medical history and reviews EMR for pertinent data.
• Records medical history on requisitions and correlates results with the exam.
• Administers IV contrast per protocols and records type and amount when requested.
• Evaluates image quality and consults Radiologist as needed.
• Performs CT scanning and assists Radiologist/PA during invasive procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and radiation safety; reports equipment issues.
