Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia seeks a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and support patients throughout their exam.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent plus completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year radiology experience.
• Certifications: ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines and capture diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and minimize dose (ALARA).
• Maintain rooms/equipment; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and verify orders and two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol and maintain sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; assist as needed.
• Organize daily workflows to meet timeframes and support department flow.
• Keep areas orderly and stocked; follow regulatory requirements and report issues to supervisor.
