Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Georgia is seeking a CT Technologist to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and support patient care. You will perform CT exams, maintain ALARA standards, and collaborate with a clinical team to ensure accurate diagnoses and patient comfort.

The role requires ARRT CT and Radiography credentials, one year of radiology experience, and a commitment to safety and education. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits and relocation options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture high-quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and adjust techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Prepare and ensure clean, disinfected exam rooms and report equipment issues promptly.
• Verify patient identity and orders; obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications.
• Explain procedures using AIDET, address questions, and reduce patient anxiety.
• Position patients correctly, apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or adjust as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Document studies accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/records as required.
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and assist with life-support equipment when needed.
