Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required.
• Minimum 1 year radiology experience preferred.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification required.
• ARRT-CT certification required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures following department guidelines to obtain quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging/radiographic equipment safely and independently; minimize exposure with ALARA.
• Clean, disinfect, and sanitize rooms and equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders, and confirm patient identifiers prior to exams.
• Explain procedures and prep to patients; address questions to ease anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety throughout the visit.
• Administer contrast per protocol using sterile technique; manage venipuncture as needed.
• Position patients and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and communicate findings as required.
• Complete accurate electronic documentation and finalize studies in RIS/PACS.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock life-support equipment as needed.
• Maintain organized daily workflow and support department operations.
