Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year of radiology experience.
• ARRT-R certification required; ARRT-CT certification preferred.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and maintain quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely, optimizing techniques to minimize dose (ALARA).
• Disinfect and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures and prep clearly using AIDET; address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout procedures.
• Administer contrast per protocol using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and reprocess as needed.
• Document accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology

ARRT-R (Radiography)

ARRT-CT - ARRT Computed Tomography

BLS (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association
