Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.
• BLS certification by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines and capture quality diagnostic images.
• Operate imaging equipment safely and maintain ALARA principles.
• Disinfect, clean and restock rooms/equipment per infection control schedules.
• Obtain clinical history, verify orders and patient identifiers before exams.
• Explain procedures and prep using AIDET; address patient questions.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy and safety throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast using sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients, apply markers and shielding as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic quality and re-image if needed.
• Document findings accurately in RIS/PACS and manage transfers/retrievals as required.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to emergencies; restock crash cart as needed.
• Maintain workflow, collaborate with colleagues to support department operations.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and elevate issues to supervisor as needed.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Accredited Radiologic Technology program

Minimum 1 year Radiology experience

ARRT-R (Radiography)

ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography)

BLS (American Heart Association)
