Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist for Columbia County Medical Center Hospital in Georgia. The role delivers high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience within a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography).
• ARRT-CT – ARRT Computed Tomography.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association.

Responsabilités

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, using technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images.
• Work independently operating imaging equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA).
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms/equipment per infection control schedules; report issues promptly.
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam.
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit.
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable.
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated.
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or correct as needed and release patients appropriately.
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are finalized in RIS/PACS.
